Camp Innovation

Camp Invention® is a nationally acclaimed summer program where STEM concepts come to life. Led by local teachers, this program has tapped into kids' natural curiosity since 1990, giving them the opportunity to become innovators through teamwork and immersive, hands-on creative problem-solving.

Student Council

The RIS Student Council is made up of one representative from each homeroom. Student Council representatives are elected by the peers at the beginning of the school year. Members of the student council must attend each monthly meeting.

The mission of the student council is to serve the students of RIS and make it a better place to learn and have fun. Duties include planning fundraisers, planning and volunteering at special events, and successfully running the recycling program at RIS. 

 

Newspaper: Rams on the Record

Rams on the Record is a newspaper written by students at RIS. Members of Rams on the Record meet after school various times throughout the year and are responsible for an article in each edition of the student newspaper. 
 

 

Running Rams

Running Rams is an after school program for 4th-6th graders. Students learn about running, general fitness, and nutrition. They have the opportunity to be active and make friends with the high school runners. Running Rams takes place in the Fall and the Spring. Sign up information is shared each fall and spring.

 

SALT

The Student Athletics Leadership Team is made up of students from all grade levels 4-12. Students must have a desire to build their leadership skills and use those skills to make Ross Local Schools the best it can be. We will participate in a variety of activities throughout the year and get a chance to work with older SALT students.

Students must also be involved in athletics and are expected to hold themselves to a high standard in terms of character and academics). Meetings will be held at 7:30am as well as during Intervention.
